The KSMT Foundation has partnered with The Akshaya Patra Foundation, Chennai to serve the community's need for nutrition. The Foundation funded a new building, an automated kitchen and delivery vehicles to enable Akshaya Patra to serve underprivileged municipal school children. During the school vacation in April 2019, the kitchen served 500 meals every day to the Government Children’s Hospital for approximately 2 months. The kitchen is also an active part of the Covid-19 Food Relief efforts serving up to 1 lakh meals till date. KSMT Foundation and Akshaya Patra believe in actively supporting needs at grass root levels and look forward to collaborating on other similar initiatives.
