1 February, 2014: Syndicate Bank, one of the oldest banks of India, has contributed one meal distribution vehicle to The Akshaya Patra Foundation, the world’s largest NGO run school meal program which currently feeds over 1.3 million children across the country every day.
The new kitchen is Akshaya Patra’s 62nd unit in the country and will enable the Foundation to serve over 100,000 children in 282 schools.
