Campaign Overview

Arya will be a year old on August 18th! As many of you know, Geetika, Arya and I love to indulge in great food. While we're extremely lucky to provide good health and nutrition for Arya, there are many kids around the world who go to sleep hungry every night. Nearly *35 million children* in India are out of school and most of them are dropouts. Their circumstances force them into menial labor in order to earn just one meal a day. For those children who are fortunate enough to attend school, hunger impairs their performance levels and decreases their capacity to learn and concentrate in class. For Arya's first birthday, we're asking you to join us in feeding the underprivileged kids. The Akshaya Patra Foundation feeds healthy meals to low-income schools which increases attendance of up to 41% in some schools.
