Artists for a Cause (AFC) is an initiative to bring all artists together to help society in times of need. AFC’s main objective is to serve the society and fight the dire challenges faced by those who are acutely affected.

The world is facing an unprecedented challenge today due to the growing CoronaVirus (COVID-19) pandemic, which has claimed thousands of lives till now. The lock-downs imposed in some of the most advanced countries are gravely impacting the global and local economies. India faces a major challenge as it tries to curb the spread of this epidemic while dealing with the paucity of healthcare infrastructure and professionals; along with sustaining the economy during the lock-down.

It’s in times like these that our community of artists can do their bit to help. Our main aim is to combine our resources and help provide meals to the poor and needy. Artists for a Cause requests every artist to come forward and support our relief efforts.

We are partnering with The Akshaya Patra Foundation through this campaign to support this cause. The Akshaya Patra Foundation is a 20-year-old non-profit organisation in India and operates the world’s largest free school meal program. They serve 18.35 lakh+ underprivileged children every day, from 55 centralized mega kitchens across 13 States & 2 UTs, covering more than 19,500 schools every day.

The funds collected will help Akshaya Patra in ensuring the supply of cooked meals or essential dry ration boxes to those most affected by the lock-down with the help of the local administration. Your contribution will help feed families affected due to the COVID -19 lock-down in Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Ajmer, Daman, Pune, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka and other parts of India.

The cost of 2 meals (Lunch & Dinner) or equivalent ration being supplied is Rs. 40 a day and Rs. 1200 for a month.
