As the COVID-19 crisis continues to loom over us, the ‘Akshaya Patra Foundation’, in close coordination with State Governments & District Administration, has stepped in to provide relief by providing more than 2,05,04,833 cooked meals & 6,22,790 care packages to daily wage workers, migrant labourers, construction site workers, and needy people at old age homes and night shelters. By adhering to all safety and hygiene measures, the Foundation is providing food relief in NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Telangana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Tripura, West Bengal and Punjab. The cost of each cooked meal is ₹25 and the cost of each grocery kit (containing rice, pulses, oil, spices, and vegetables) is ₹825. Each grocery kit can serve 2 people with 42 meals for 21 days. Support from State Agencies, District Authorities and citizens has enabled them to make a difference in the lives of millions. But, millions more are relying on us to help.
