Campaign Overview

Dear All, The Akshaya Patra Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation headquartered in Bengaluru, India. It strives to eliminate classroom hunger by implementing the Mid-Day Meal Scheme in the government schools and government-aided schools. Today, Akshaya Patra is the world’s largest (not-for-profit run) Mid-Day Meal Programme serving wholesome food every school day to over 1.76 million children from 15,024 schools across 12 states in India. With this campaign, i would like to raise INR 50,000 (£550) which will help feed 45 children mid-day meal for a year! Classroom hunger affects children’s ability to learn and grow. Your donations will help not only in improving the nutritional status of children in Government schools but also encourage children of disadvantaged sections to attend school regularly. INR 1,100 feeds a child for a year! (~ INR 92 (£1) per month) Let’s ensure that the future of this country is well-informed and takes the country towards positive growth.
